Before taking up temporary and occasional work as a psychologist in Denmark a declaration must be forwarded to the Danish Supervisory Board of Psychological Practice.
Dette skal du bruge:
A citizen of a EU/EEA Member State or a country which the EU has made an agreement with concerning the practicing of a regulated profession and who is legally established in a Member State and who is fully qualified to practice as a psychologist in a Member State may work on a temporary and occasional basis as a psychologist in Denmark by using the professional title from the Member State in which the psychologist is established.
A person is legally established in a Member State if the person meets all the conditions for practicing a profession in a Member State and is not - even temporary - prohibited from practicing such services.
Before taking up such temporary and occasional work in Denmark a declaration must be forwarded to the Danish Supervisory Board of Psychological Practice via the "Start"-button. There are no forms available for the declaration, but it should be in writing and should contain:
Name, address, telephone, e-mail
Birth
Documentation for citizenship (such as copies of relevant pages of passport)
Documentation for change of birth name, if any (such as marriage certificate)
Documentation for recognition of a diploma as a psychologist received in a third country or another EU/EEA Member State, if any
Documentation for being legally established in a Member State.
The declaration is valid for 12 months.
The contact form is only available in Danish. Therefore it is also possible to send the application and documentation to ast@ast.dk. (Note that it is not a secure email.)
The decision on whether or not to recognize specific professional qualifications from abroad will be made as soon as possible and no later than four months after all necessary documents have been received.
In case of rejection
Decisions of the Secretariat of the Danish Supervisory Board of Psychological Practice may be brought to the members of the Danish Supervisory Board of Psychological Practice. The members of the Danish Supervisory Board of Psychological Practice will then decide whether or not they will access the decision of the Secretariat.
The decision of the Danish Supervisory Board of Psychological Practice cannot be appealed to another administrative authority in Denmark.
The Danish title “psykolog” (psychologist) is a protected title, which means that only persons who hold the degree Cand.Psych. or an equivalent degree in psychology are entitled to use the title “psykolog” in Denmark.
Therefore, if you want to work as a psychologist in Denmark on a permanent basis using the Danish title “psykolog”, you have to have your foreign professional qualifications as a psychologist recognized by the Danish Supervisory Board of Psychological Practice (Psykolognævnet).
A psychologist who has received recognition from the Danish Supervisory Board of Psychological of her/his professional qualifications may apply to the Supervisory Board for authorization as a psychologist in Denmark provided that additional conditions for authorization are fulfilled. Authorisation is not mandatory for the practice of psychology in Denmark, but is requested in certain areas of work.
The Danish Supervisory Board of Psychological Practice has a list of all authorised psychologists in Denmark. You can find the list here: http://www.psykolognævnet.dk/
